Welcome to notional cyberspace of ~/tinycore.lab
The makerspace movement is a grassroots initiative that fosters collaborative and hands-on learning environments where individuals from diverse backgrounds come together to create, innovate, and explore. At its core, a makerspace is a community-driven workshop equipped with tools and resources that support a wide range of projects, from technological inventions to artistic endeavors. This movement emphasizes the principles of open-source knowledge, sharing, and accessibility, encouraging members to collaborate on projects and contribute to a collective pool of expertise and creativity. Makerspaces often serve as incubators for personal and professional development, offering a platform for experimentation and discovery.
At ~/tinycore.lab, we embrace the makerspace movement through a variety of interests and projects. Our commitment to libre software culture is foundational to our operations, promoting the use and development of open-source tools and applications. By distributing and supporting libre software, we enable members to leverage freely available resources and contribute to a global community of developers and users. This aligns with our broader goal of democratizing access to technology and fostering an environment where knowledge and tools are shared openly.
In the realm of art and chemistry, we support projects that merge creativity with scientific exploration. Our makerspace provides a venue for artistic experimentation, where members can explore the intersections of art and science through collaborative projects. Chemistry enthusiasts can engage in hands-on experiments, contributing to both personal learning and community knowledge. This interdisciplinary approach allows us to address complex problems and generate innovative solutions that draw from multiple fields of expertise.
Citizen science is another key focus of our makerspace. We actively support projects that involve community members in scientific research, leveraging collective knowledge and participation to address real-world challenges. By engaging in citizen science, our members contribute valuable data and insights that can influence research and decision-making. Our projects often include environmental monitoring, data collection, and analysis, providing opportunities for participants to contribute to meaningful scientific advancements.
Stargazing and space exploration are also integral to our interests. Our fascination with astronomy drives us to explore space-related technologies and projects. We organize stargazing events and support space engineering initiatives, encouraging members to learn about celestial phenomena and the science of space. These activities not only stimulate curiosity and inspire innovation but also connect our local efforts to the broader context of space exploration and discovery. Through these projects, we aim to foster a sense of wonder and expand our understanding of the universe, reflecting the makerspace movement’s spirit of exploration and creativity.
In this tiny hardware hacking lab, everything necessary is available in only 8m² of space [probably the smallest makerspace worldwide]. Big things can happen in small spaces.
In electronics working-corner, carried server conservation, graphic design, programming, art, security, cyber activism and many more projects. Cables, circuit boards and a small quantity of consumables are available for equipment repair and any other project.
This is a maker’s workshop – where guests or members who join in get access to the machinery tools to make, create and work on projects. From small hand-tools to woodwork machines, chemical solvents, varnishes, pigments, adhesives are provided for any project implementation. Personal protective equipment [ppe] is also available.
